Service Description
Skymesh Ultra 100 Plan provides an nbn Sky Muster Plus Premium service with uncapped data usage for all types of traffic and all times of the day, and burst speeds up to 100 Mbps. For example, unlike with regular Sky Muster Plus services, streaming video traffic is uncapped during peak hours.
NBN Sky Muster satellite broadband is a internet service provided via NBN satellite equipment to deliver internet connectivity to the Network Boundary Point at your premises and only available to eligible customers who qualify or have had a NBN Sky Muster satellite service installed.
Sky Muster Plus Premium
The new nbn® Sky Muster™ Plus Premium Satellite Internet Service will let you benefit from the following:
- Uncapped Content: Your usage is uncapped at all times of the day but, for informational purposes, it is divided into peak and off-peak periods. Peak Hours are between 4pm to midnight and Off Peak Hours are between midnight to 4pm, as defined by nbn co and apply to your local time zone.
- Burst Speeds: Your service may burst above this rate, up to 100 Mbps, from time to time where network conditions allow.
Data Allowance
This Plan includes unlimited data.
Equipment Requirement
An NBN termination device will be installed in your home. This plan requires you to have an NBN compatible modem/router. You can purchase an NBN modem from Skymesh or you may choose to BYO modem.

Shaping Policy
Your network traffic is profiled and speed limited (shaped) by nbn co according to its traffic profiles and a shaping policy governed by nbn co.
Profile 1 may be shaped during Off-peak Hours and includes streaming video and any type of content accessed via a VPN.
Profile 2 may be shaped at any time of the day and includes peer-to-peer; cloud storage platforms; software, gaming and operating-system updates; and other application related data that nbn co cannot identify.
Other activities that nbn co considers may adversely affect its network may also be added to the shapeable traffic types listed above.
Metered Content
Metered Content includes Profile 1 which is streaming video (for example, Netflix and Stan) and virtual private networking (VPN).
Any of your traffic that is identified by nbn co as Metered Content will be counted against your Peak Data Allowance during Peak Hours (4:00 pm to Midnight).
If you exceed your Peak Data Allowance, Metered Content will be shaped to 512/256 kbps during Peak Hours until the end of the calendar month.
If we believe your traffic is being erroneously categorised as Metered Data, we can ask nbn co to investigate its traffic profiles. We do not guarantee that your particular traffic will be categorised a certain way by nbn co or that nbn co will update its profiles to match your particular traffic.
Unmetered Content
Any of your traffic that is not identified as Metered Content is, by default, Unmetered Content. There is no allowance limit for Unmetered Content so there is no risk of being shaped until the end of the calendar month.
However, nbn co may start shaping Profile 2 traffic to less than 256 kbps. Profile 2 is a type of Unmetered Content and includes peer-to-peer; cloud storage; software, gaming and operatingsystem updates; and other application-related data that nbn co cannot identify.
