Belong follows Telstra’s lead on NBN price increases

Telstra's budget brand Belong will increase the price of its NBN plans from July 1, off the back of NBN Co's upcoming wholesale price changes. As with its parent company, only Belong's NBN 25 and NBN 50 plans will see a price increase. Pricing for faster plans will remain unchanged.

Here's how pricing is changing for Belong's NBN plans:

Speed Tier	Old Pricing	New Pricing
NBN 25	$72 per month	$75 per month
NBN 50	$88 per month	$91 per month
NBN 100	$95 per month	$95 per month
NBN 500	$95 per month	$95 per month
NBN 1000	$110 per month	$110 per month

These pricing changes will apply to new and existing Belong customers. Customers on a current Belong NBN plan will be charged the new amount from their first bill in July.

Belong's price increases are a little smaller than those Telstra is passing on to its customers. While the Telstra NBN plans getting a price increase are going up by between $4 and $5 per month, Belong's impacted plans will rise by $3 per month.

While NBN prices may be getting more expensive, many providers still offer honeymoon discounts: savings for new customers that tend to last between six months and a year. Most NBN plans are contract-free, so jumping between these discounted plans is the best way to lower your NBN bill
